The city of Welland plans to update it's Pollution Prevention Control Plan and Wastewater Master Servicing Plans to incorporate climate change.
Welland is partnering with Niagara Adapts to launch a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study.
The study will help identify the impacts of growth and improvements to the sewer system from the 2001 plans.
Niagara Adapts is made up of staff from all across the Niagara Region and is designed to build innovative climate adaptation solutions throughout Niagara.
There will be an open house and public engagement session on the topic on July 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Welland Civic Square.
