A dip in the number of new COVID-19 cases in Niagara.
Niagara Region Public Health is reporting 18 new COVID-19 infections today.
Eight people remain hospitalized with the virus, and Niagara Health says there are three COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
Seven of the hospital patients are unvaccinated.
Throughout the region, there are 11 active outbreaks and 258 active cases.
Over 692,000 vaccine doses have been administered in Niagara.
About 74.8 percent of local residents have their first dose, and 69.2 percent are fully immunized.
