SPCA says they were found soon after a white SUV seen speeding away
Five puppies have been found abandoned on the shoreline of the Niagara River.
The Niagara SPCA says it got a call just before the noon hour, yesterday, from Niagara Parks police about the 3 to 4-week old pups, found on the Niagara River Parkway, near Edgeworth Road.
Sadly, one of the puppies was dead in the river, while two were found walking in shallow water, and the other two were near the small parking area.
Police say someone reported the discovery after watching a white SUV speed away from the parking lot.
After it left, the individual got out of their vehicle, and heard whimpering, and found the dogs.
The surviving puppies were taken to the SPCA, and are currently in foster care.
