$500,000+ in Drugs Found in Thorold

One man is charged

A Thorold man has been charged after police say they caught him trafficking massive amounts of drugs.

They started investigating him earlier this month, and yesterday searched a Lundy's Lane address in Thorold.

Police arrested 37-year old Matt Gendron, charged with:

  • Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking (opioid oxycodone)
  • Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

Police found:

  • 4 kilograms of suspected cocaine (value $80,000)
  • 751.9 grams of suspected MDMA (value $9,000)
  • 470 tablets of suspected oxycontin (value $4,700)
  • 4.6 kilograms of suspected psilocybin (value $46,180)
  • 61 kilograms of suspected dry cannabis (value $250,000)
  • 6.3 kilograms of suspected hard/brick hashish (value $127520)
  • 121 x 1 gram vape pens (value $4235)
  • 26 grams of suspected shatter individually packaged in 1-gram envelopes (value $520)
  • 314 grams of suspected cannabis oil individually packaged in 1-gram envelopes (value $6280)
  • 1 kilogram of suspected cannabis distillate (value $20000)
  • $5533 of currency

Police add he was released from custody with a future court date.
