Did you know that ice cream trucks can not legally operate on city streets in Niagara Falls?
Councillor Lori Lococo asking for a staff report on the old bylaw during yesterday's council meeting, preventing "refreshment trucks" from operating on city property.
Fellow councillor Wayne Thomson pointing out the only exemption was the former Jake's chip truck which held the only licence in the city.
Vince Kerrio, meantime, pointing out while he has no problem with staff looking into the issue, the tourism industry may be opposed because it could lead to food trucks operating on our streets.
Lococo's motion passed.
