Smith says she didn't mean to diminish prejudice faced by minorities
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is dealing with criticism for comments made during her first day on the job.
She says she didn't mean to trivialize prejudice faced by minority communities when she suggested unvaccinated people have experienced the most discrimination she has ever seen in her lifetime.
Commentary came nationwide, including from neighbouring Premier John Horgan of BC, who called it ``laughable.''
A political scientist at Mount Royal University in Calgary, says Smith's comment would be laughable if she wasn't the premier.
