He's known for playing Captain Raymond Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine
UNITED STATES - Emmy award-winning actor Andre Braugher had died at the age of 61.
His publicist confirmed the news yesterday, saying he died of a brief illness but provided no further details.
Braugher was best known for playing Captain Raymond Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Detective Frank Pembleton on Homicide: Life on the Street. He also got his start in the 1989 film Glory, starring alongside Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington.
He is survived by his wife Ami Brabson and his three sons.
