And it's good news for Niagara's 12 municipalities
The Ontario government is providing an additional $500 million to help municipalities address ongoing COVID-19 operating costs.
As part of the investment, Niagara will receive $16,486,587.
The province says the new financial relief will help ensure the delivery of critical services and keep capital projects on track.
The Ford government says it will use MPAC household data combined with the proportion of the province's COVID-19 cases between January 1st and February 18th to determine the amount of funding each municipalities will receive.
