A sixth animal transferred out of Marineland has died. Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium says a 27-year-old beluga died last week after veterinarians tried to save its life. The Aquarium says the beluga was not eating properly and tests revealed abnormal electrolyte levels and dangerously acidic blood. The whale was put on life support but could not be saved. Five belugas and one dolphin have died since being moved from Marineland to aquariums in the States and Spain.
