Niagara Falls business owners encouraged to email BIA today to attend
It's that important time of the year again when Niagara Falls business owners can get together, brainstorm, and be ready to meet future challenges head on.
The Niagara Falls BIA is having its' Annual General Meeting on Thursday, at the BIA office on Queen Street in the downtown core, starting at 4pm.
Last year's report will be discussed, as well as plans for 2023, and after the meeting, the crucial opportunity to network with other business owners.
In a letter to downtown businesses, the BIA reminds participants voting will take place for members of the BIA. It adds this will give business owners who pay property taxes through their rent to come out and have their say.
For anyone who wishes to go to this important event, the BIA says you must RSVP by emailing info@downtownniagarafalls.com before tomorrow.
Meanwhile, there has been some confusion surrounding who is allowed to vote at the annual general meeting.
We have reached out to City officials, including the mayor, the city clerk and the Records & Elections Officer, to clarify who is eligible to vote, but have not received a response.
We'll keep you informed as more details are made available.
