Provincial government made the decision, outlining a lengthy list of life-time accomplishments of the life-long Niagara resident
It is official, the provincial government has announced who the next Niagara Regional Chair will be, following the death of Jim Bradley.
Effective today, the government says Bob Gale will take decades of experience in regional government to his new job.
The life-long resident of Niagara has been regional councillor for the City of Niagara Falls, and Chair of the Niagara Parks Commission.
He was also a member of the Niagara Regional Police Services Board, and became chair of that from 2014 to 2018.
He was an NRP officer before leading his family's oil company in 1980.
Beside all that, he's also served on the YMCA board, Niagara Falls Sunrise Rotary, also high school and hospital boards.
Minister of Municipal Affairs Rob Flack adds he looks forward to working with Bob Gale to build more homes and support economic growth.
