Chris Jacobs wants border reopened by June 22nd
The Buffalo area congressman says he will push Washington to open up its side of the border to put pressure on Canada to do the same.
Chris Jacobs telling Eyewitness News during a Buffalo demonstration yesterday demanding travel restrictions be lifted at the border, he wants to see it opened by June 22nd.
Jacobs joined dozens of demonstrators rallying in Pat Sole Park to push for the border to be reopened so families can reunite.
The congressman adding he has yet to see any indication there are real, lengthy conversations going on between the U.S. and Canadian governments.
