Welland Mayor Frank Campion has released a statement in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He says the city is monitoring the situation in Niagara and across the country.
Welland's leadership team has been meeting daily, and the city has also partially activated it's Emergency Operations Centre.
Officials have has decided to close Civic Square and all city offices.
Campion says the city is focused on protecting it's staff and members of the public from COVID-19.
