Canada Loosening Border Restrictions to Reunite Families

You will be able to reunite with a family member on the other side of the border.

The federal government is loosening the restrictions at the border crossings in Niagara and beyond.

But this will only apply to immediate family members including spouses, common-law partners and dependent children.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says anyone who crosses over into Canada must self-isolate themselves for two weeks.

He’s also warning against breaking that rule.

The Canada – U.S. border has been closed to non-essential traffic since March.
