Canada's flag bearers for the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics have been announced.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced men's rugby sevens player Nathan Hirayama and women's basketball player Miranda Ayim will carry the Canadian flag at Friday's ceremony.
Hirayama is the captain of Canada's men's rugby sevens team, and their first game will be on Sunday.
Ayim will be appearing in her third and final Olympics, and the Canadian women's basketball team start their quest for the podium next Monday.
