Canview owner cites staffing issues and lack of major movie releases as reason
In the post, the owner notes, "The main reason is we have lost almost all of our senior staff to out of town universities. In past years we have had a few attend Brock or other local schools , but that is not the case this year. There have been many tears shed around here this past week or so as many faces you have come to know said their goodbyes and headed out to start or continue their studies in different cities."
Another issue is the lack of major movies releases, with management pointing out the next major movie opening is Addams Family 2 in October.
The post concludes "We opened this year amid great uncertainty and feel we did the best we could under the circumstances. I am immensely proud of every one of our staff members and we all appreciate the support of our customers during trying times such as these. We wish you all the best during our off season and look forward to a hopefully more normal spring 2022."
