Province shortens interval between doses
The move comes after calls from public health experts to shorten the 12 week dosage interval to allow more people to get vaccinated.
The province says those who got a first dose of Astra Zeneca can now get a second dose after 8 weeks with informed consent.
Starting tomorrow at 8 am, those who got their first dose of the vaccine can book their second dose appointment and choose between Astra Zeneca or one of the mRNA shots, Pfizer or Moderna.
Provincial officials adding those who want an mRNA for their second vaccine can book through the Ontario booking system.
If you choose to get a second dose of Astra Zeneca the province says you should contact the place where you got your first jab.
