25 year old facing assault with a weapon charge
A former People's Party of Canada riding president is facing the charge for allegedly throwing gravel at the Liberal Leader as he boarded a campaign bus over the Labour Day holiday weekend in London.
Police have charged 25 year old Shane Marshall with assault with a weapon.
The incident which saw Trudeau, RCMP in his security detail and reporter's covering his campaign struck with rocks, drew condemnation from all the federal party leaders.
The PPC removed Marshall from his post as head of the Elgin-Middlesex-London riding association days after the incident.
