35 year old St. Catharines woman charged
Police say they were called in last month to investigate an alleged assault at a horse protest in the town of Niagara on the Lake.
Police say an altercation broke out between a 17 year old girl and a 69 year old woman.
Two people were taken into custody but were later released on scene pending further investigation.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
But police did determine the victim was confronted by another woman who allegedly slapped a cellphone from the teen's hand.
On Saturday police charged 35 year old Elizabeth Beattie with assault.
