Police pulled 21 transport truck drivers over who they say were intentionally by-passing the Vineland truck scale
Another inspection by provincial police and MTO of trucks on the QEW leading to more taken off the highway.
On Friday, they once again focused on transport truck drivers intentionally by-passing the Vineland truck scale on the Toronto bound QE, due to complaints from residents in nearby areas.
Police say they looked at 21 vehicles, and took six off the road for safety concerns.
Out of service defects included typical problems, such as insecure loads, suspension issues, brake defects, and weight infractions.
There were also improper pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance infractions.
Police say they issued 18 charges.
