This concerns a car stolen in St. Catharines in March
An update from police concerning a hit and run in St. Catharines back in March.
That was when a car was stolen from a parking lot, and hit another vehicle at a high rate of speed at Welland Avenue and Ontario Street.
The driver of the other car died.
Police say 38-year old Matthew Morris of St. Catharines eventually turned himself in, charged with robbery and failure to remain at the scene.
Police have added the charges against him:
• Dangerous operation causing death
• Criminal negligence causing death
• Operation while prohibited
• Driving while under suspension
He remains in police custody, with another court appearance May 6th.
