A confrontation at a Niagara Falls home has resulted in the arrest of a man for child luring.
Police were called to a Drummond Road and Morrison Street area home yesterday, for an indecent act call.
They learned an online group using decoy tactics had identified who they believed was a child predator, and confronted the man at his home before calling police to turn over the evidence.
Today, police arrested 36-year old Geoffrey David Canal of Niagara Falls, for:
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Sexual Interference
- Luring a Child via Telecommunication to Facilitate Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child
- Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material (written and audio recording)
He has a bail hearing today.
