Vehicle flipped over after sinking into water
Tragedy in Hamilton after the death of two children in an ATV accident.
The Hamilton Spectator is reporting David Freire had taken his 6-year old son, Noah, and 8-year old daughter, Emilia, to a rural area off Miles Road.
It's reported Noah saw some ducks in a pond, and wanted a closer look, in what appeared to be shallow water.
Their father moved the vehicle closer so the front tire was in the water, but the vehicle began to sink further in, resulting in it turning over and submerging.
The children were wearing seatbelts, and David couldn't get them out.
Emergency crews took the children to hospital, but were pronounced dead.
