The City of St. Catharines is reminding residents to clear snow off of sidewalks in front of and/or behind their property.
Residents are responsible for clearing the sidewalk within 24 hours of a snow event.
Snow and ice not removed within 24 hours is subject to be removed by the City, resulting in a charge to property owners.
Owners face a charge of $10.75 for every metre of sidewalk that is cleared by the City.
To report a sidewalk that hasn't been shoveled, you can call Citizen's First at 905-688-5600.
