The City of St. Catharines is warning residents to be vigilant about a recent scam.
The City reports that several residents have received calls from someone identifying themselves as being from the City of St. Catharines, asking for access to their basement in regards to flooding.
The caller is saying the access is needed due to being in a "red zone."
The City would like to inform residents that there is no such program.
