City employees will need to prove vaccination status by November 19th.
A new vaccination policy is in effect for City of Welland employees.
Officials say workers have until November 19th to show proof of vaccination.
The policy applies to all full-time, part-time, casual, volunteer and student workers.
Those without both shots will need to submit to rapid antigen testing twice a week beginning December 2nd.
Anyone who refuses to comply faces an unpaid leave up to six weeks long, or dismissal if there is a continued failure to follow the policy.
