You'll soon be able to take your kids swimming in Welland.
The City is re-opening the Memorial Park and Rosie Smith Memorial pools on June 25th, to be followed by the Maple Park Pool on July 1st.
The pools will be open every day from noon until 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ambassadors will be onsite to ensure COVID-19 safety policies such as screening and controlled access are followed.
Washrooms and changerooms will be open, but you'll need to keep items on the pool deck.
You won't be allowed to bring food, lawn chairs and large items in the pool area, however, these items are allowed in the parks adjacent to each pool location.
There will be limits placed on the number of patrons to allow for physical distancing, and a time limit may be added to maximize public access.
The wading pools at Rose Smith and Maple Park will remain closed, and there are no private pool rentals for the time being.
