Almost $74,000 raised so far
A staggering amount of money has been raised for the family of a Niagara EMS paramedic murdered last week.
The Standard is reporting a GoFundMe page was created a few days ago for the sons of Cheryl Kowalik, who was found dead in Vineland.
Her former husband, Leonard Kowalik, has been charged with 1st degree murder.
The page, created by Cheryl's best friend Sarah, of 40 years, wrote Cheryl served her community for over 20 years, and was a supportive daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Donations were originally for $5,000, but it's now almost $74,000.
The GoFundMe page indicates money raised will go towards her two son's future education as well as additional therapeutic support to get them through this tragic time.
