Car caught on video plunging into river on U.S. side
The search for two men in a vehicle that went into the Niagara River on the U.S. side was called off around 9:00 last night.
Buffalo police say the swift current hampered divers searching for the pair.
The two men were in a vehicle caught on a security camera at Broderick Park around 7:00 yesterday morning .
The vehicle is seen on the video ramming through a protective railing and falling about 20 feet into the river.
Police have released a photo of the vehicle.
Witnesses say one man was black and the other appeared to be Hispanic.
