Demonstrators Rally to Stop the Hate

It was a weekend of rallies on both sides of the border to stop Asian hate

Demonstrators gathered in Niagara Square in Buffalo offering a moment of silence for the eight people killed in the Atlanta spa shooting as well as other Asian Americans who have been verbally and physically abused, particularly since the pandemic began.

A couple dozen people gathered outside the former Niagara Square in Niagara Falls on Saturday,

According to statistics from the Chinese Canadian National Council, there have been close to a thousand anti-Asian hate crimes reported to police across Canada since the start of the pandemic.
