It'll be in convenience stores and all grocery stores by 2026
UPDATE - Beer, wine, cider, and ready-to-drink cocktails will be in convenience stores and all grocery stores in Ontario in the next couple of years.
Premier Doug Ford says they should be available in 2026.
An estimated 67 hundred convenience stores and 18 hundred grocery stores will be eligible, and they will be able to set their pricing under Ford's plan.
All retail outlets currently have to adhere to pricing set by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to announce today his government's plan to expand sales of beer and wine.
It was two elections ago that Ford promised his government would allow beer and wine to be sold in grocery and convenience stores.
However, they ran into problems fulfilling that pledge because of a 10-year deal already locked in with The Beer Store that allowed for only a limited number of grocery stores to sell beer and wine.
Ford posted a video to social media yesterday showing him in a corner store saying "big news" is coming today.
He's got a news conference slated for 11 a.m. today.
