The DSBN is going to stagger the start of the school year for elementary students.
Those in Kindergarten in Grade 1 will be the first to go back on Tuesday September 8th.
Students in Grade 2 and Grade 3 will join them on Wednesday September 9th.
Students in Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6 will start on Thursday September 10th.
Students in Grade 7 and Grade 8 will go back on Friday September 11th.
This means all students should be back in the classroom by the end of the week.
This will apply to all elementary schools within the board.
The DSBN says the staggered start will make it easier for schools to introduce the new health and safety guidelines.
This should not affect your child's bus ride to and from school.
Niagara Student Transportation Services is aware of the staggered start so parents do not need to call in advance.
