Eight New COVID-19 Cases in Niagara

Seven local people remain hospitalized with the virus.

Niagara Region Public Health is confirming 8 new COVID-19 cases.

The death toll is unchanged at 437.

Officials report seven patients hospitalized with the virus, and five are in the ICU.

Five of the patients are unvaccinated.

There are nine active outbreaks and 152 active cases.

More than 728,000 vaccines have been administered in the area.

About 77 percent of local residents have at least one shot and 73.7 percent are double dosed.
