It happened above Skydive Burnaby
A 44 year old man is in hospital following a weekend skydiving accident in Wainfleet.
EMS tells the Niagara Falls Review, they were called to an area near off Lakeshore Road Saturday afternoon after a man jumping from a plane above Skydive Burnaby had an issue with his primary parachute.
EMS say he pulled out a reserve chute but his primary then inflated, pushing the reserve out of the way.
It's estimated the man fell about 100 feet into a field where he suffered serious head injuries.
Emergency Services say it is also the first time they used the what3words app which helped locate the victim.
