Fall branch collection to begin November 1st.
Curbside branch collection is about to begin in Niagara.
From November 1st until the 26th, residents living in single family homes or apartments with six units or less can set branches out for collection.
Branches must be tied in bundles using string or twine, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds per bundle.
Individual limbs cannot exceed 2.8 inches in diameter, and the bunches must be 5 feet or less in length and 1.6 feet in diameter.
The bundles must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular collection day, or placed out after 5:00 p.m the previous evening.
Stumps, large branches/limbs and tree trunks will not be collected.
During these weeks, branches and leaf and yard material are often collected in a separate collection truck than Green Bin material.
Residents can also drop off branches of any size, as well as yard waste year round at one of the region's Waste and Recycling Drop-off Depots.
