Fire declared over at 9 this morning
In a series of tweets, St. Catharines fire keeping us updated on a major blaze that broke out last night at Hernder Estate Winery on Eighth Avenue Louth, east of Seventh.
Fire officials say crews battled the flames until 9 this morning with help from firefighters from Niagara Falls, Thorold, Pelham, West Niagara, West Lincoln and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
St. Catharines fire officials add there was no fire damage to the warehouse and production facilities, the fire was contained to the nearby original barn building, which was used to host large events including the craft market as well as weddings.
