Operation Impact campaign results in over 6,000 charges.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reporting five traffic fatalities over the long weekend.
Officers conducted enforcement blitzes on highways and roads as part of the nation-wide Operation Impact campaign.
The OPP says 6,026 charges were laid for offences such as speeding, seatbelt infractions, and aggressive, impaired and distracted driving.
Drivers are being reminded that most collisions are preventable through safe, defensive driving, and complying with seatbelt regulations.
