Ford says he is not ready to put a date on ending the mask mandate but suggests it could come after the kids return from March break.
Premier Doug Ford says he expects the mask mandate will end after the March Break.
Ford says he is still waiting for the advice of Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore.
"I am listening to the Chief Medical Officer of Health, it is his advice on when they will come off. We are waiting for his advice and recommendations, and once he gives the recommendations, we will be able to move forward. What I am hearing is it could happen over the next few weeks, maybe after the kids get back from March Break but we will see."
Ford says he is not ready to set a date.
"I don't want to set a date, it is no secret, there isn't a single person who likes these masks, nobody likes wearing them but I am going to follow the advice and we are not far away."
He adds it is time to unite the Province.
"The divide this has created is terrible, we just need to move forward, put this behind us and everyone work together."
