Sex assault trial for Jacob Hoggard gets underway today in Toronto courthouse
A judge says a few procedural matters will be dealt with before jury selection in the trial begins.
The trial has been delayed multiple times because of the pandemic.
Hoggard pleaded not guilty to sexual assault causing bodily harm and sexual interference during a two-day preliminary hearing in the summer of 2019.
The trial is scheduled to run until June.
