Opposition Leader Andrea Horwath names Dave Augustyn as Niagara West NDP candidate.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath was in Fenwick today to announce the new NDP candidate for the Niagara West riding.
Horwath welcomed former Pelham mayor Dave Augustyn to the team of candidates running for provincial election in 2022.
"The NDP’s Niagara MPPs and I are thrilled to welcome Dave Augustyn to the team," Horwath noted. "Dave loves Niagara - he is a community champion who is determined to make this region the best place in the world to live, work, raise a family, and retire."
Augustyn was Pelham's mayor for 12 years, and also served as regional councilor.
During his time as mayor, he helped build the Meridian Community Centre in Pelham.
Augustyn will be acclaimed as the NDP's Niagara West candidate on November 28th.
