Residential property taxes will be going up in Fort Erie.
Town Council recently approved the Operating Budget for 2020.
It includes about a 1.55 percent tax increase, but it works out to 2.47 percent when you combine it with the Region and Board of Education levies.
Council has also given the green light to a Capital Budget of $18.7 million.
It's going to fund 63 projects total, including the construction of a newly amalgamated Fire Station 4.
It's one of the most expensive projects in the budget, with a price tag of $3.4 million.
