A Fort Erie man is facing charges following a weapon call.
Just before 11:00 a.m. this morning, police were called to the area of Ridge Road North and Hibbard Street.
A man had been observed walking on Ridge Road with a large knife.
The knife was exposed in a manner considered dangerous, with several members of the public nearby.
The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of a large metal 9' black and red spring loaded style pocket knife.
The suspect began smashing his head against the partition and the back of the police cruiser as he was being transported to Central Prisoner Management.
He received medical treatment in hospital.
Facing weapon-related charges is 21 year old Seth C. Woelke of Fort Erie.
Woelke will be held in custody pending a bail hearing set for tomorrow.
