An online fundraiser to assist workers without paid sick days is gaining steam.
The fundraiser launched this weekend, and as of Monday afternoon, has raised over $28,000.
Essential workers in need of funds can send in an application, and will be able to receive $160 per day for a maximum of five days.
Individuals must specify their industry and the name of their employer in order to confirm they are an essential worker.
