Owner under investigation
The Buffalo News reporting the owner of the Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls, NY, one of the region's premier concert venues, is under investigation by federal agents.
The News says agents have seized more than $400,000 from a company linked to the theatre owned by John Hutchins.
Hutchins bought the former movie theatre and Late Show dance club in 2007, restoring it to its past glory.
Major acts from Blondie to Snoop Dog have played the venue over the years.
But now its future is in question.
A judge has appointed a receiver to temporarily run the venue as creditors attempt to collect millions of dollars from Hutchins and his businesses.
