Police say he was impaired
Police putting a stop to excessive speeding on the 420 in Niagara Falls last night, catching a driver with over 2-times the legal impairment level.
It was just after 10, when officers noticed an eastbound vehicle near Drummond Road, clocked at 173kms, that's an 80 zone.
Police say the 26-year old man, with a G2 licence, was arrested for impaired driving, breath tests showing over 2-times the legal limit.
He faces 6 charges:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired - 80 plus
- Stunt Driving
- Novice Driver B.A.C above zero
- Driver fail to properly wear seatbelt
- Careless Driving
Police say he was released from custody with a May court date.
