Long weekend price hikes ahead
Dan McTeague with Canadians for Affordable Energy is forecasting prices will climb by six cents today to $1.68 a litre and then another five cents tomorrow to $1.73.
So if you see a cheaper price this morning and you need gas, McTeague says fill up.
Last month prices soared to $1.80 and McTeague thinks we could see pump prices in the $2.00 range this summer.
However, if the Ford government is re-elected, the gas tax will drop in July for six months by 5.7 cents a litre.
