A local MPP is asking questions about the vaccine shortage in Niagara
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates asked Health Minister Christine Elliott for an explanation on the situation, but he says he still hasn't received answers.
"I asked two questions which should be simple to answer given how many months they’ve had to get this vaccine roll-out right - where did Niagara’s diverted Moderna vaccines go and when will they be resending us our fair share of those vaccines? One in four residents in Niagara is a senior and every one of those vaccines could save a life. There’s no reason not to have these answers."
Gates was reportedly told by the Ministry of Health that the vaccines were diverted, but couldn't reveal details of where they were sent.
He also claims that the Ministry is refusing to provide a timeline as to when Niagara will see those vaccines.
