Premier Ford has proposed a new attraction for Queen Victoria Park
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates is holding a Town Hall Meeting on Monday, July 6th at Club Italia to get the public's input on whether or not Niagara Falls needs a second Ferris wheel, this time in Victoria Park, as outlined by Premier Doug Ford.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates has been leading a campaign against a proposal by the Provincial government to build a second Ferris wheel in Queen Victoria Park. Gates, and many others, feel there are more pressing priorities to address and he also argues that the parkland is a protected public space and that the Honeymoon Capital of the world already had a successful attraction on Clifton Hill.
"We've received thousands of petitions and thousands of comments," says Gates. "It's now your turn to come and send a clear message to Doug Ford, the Minister of Tourism and the Parks Commission that we do not want a second Ferris wheel."
