Officials are trying a new tactic in an effort to get more COVID-19 shots in arms
The county is launching a Drink for a Dose program partnering with local breweries to offer anyone 21 or older a free beer if they get vaccinated at select clinics.
Resurgence Brewing Company is hosting a clinic May 8th and eligible residents who who roll up their sleeve will get a token for a free drink.
The county is also partnering with Flying Bison Brewing Company for a second Drink for a Dose clinic.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz also announcing yesterday they would be ending the mass vaccine clinics because of falling attendance and instead move to smaller more targeted clinics in the hopes of convincing more residents to get vaccinated.
To date, 41 percent of eligible residents in the county are fully vaccinated.
