89 bus trips cancelled yesterday
Metrolinx says a shortage of GO bus drivers forced the transit agency to cancel dozens of bus trips yesterday in the Toronto and Hamilton regions.
Monday was the first day Metrolinx employees were required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of a medical exemption.
Between two and three percent of workers who did not comply with the policy were placed on unpaid leave.
The agency says riders can expect more cancellations through the week and should check the GO website for service update
